Come join us on Saturday, April 10, 2027 for the Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin’ Festival Wiggle Worm Fun Run! This family-friendly event, which officially kicks off the Annual Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin’ Festival, is a 1.4 mile Fun Run/Walk that meanders through historic downtown Sopchoppy, Florida. Walkers and runners are both welcome!  The race continues to grow from year to year, and we would love to have you be a part of making this a tradition!

Early registration (on or before March 12) is $20 and includes a race T-shirt. Late registration (March 13 to day of race) is $25 and includes a race T-shirt (if available). Children 12 and under are $15 (both early and late) and there is also a $10 no T-shirt option on the day of the race. Only early registrants will be guaranteed a T-shirt in their requested size.  We do order a few extras for late registrants, but they run out quickly and availability can’t be guaranteed.  Remember, the early bird gets the worm!

Awards will be given to the first three adult men and and first three adult women to cross the finish line, and also to the first three 12 and under girls and first three 12 and under boys to cross the finish line. All registrants will receive a fuzzy worm necklace, with an extra surprise for the kids!

Canine companions are welcome, but must get along well with others and be on a leash at all times.  Please drop me an email to let me know if you plan to bring your pup.

Day of race registration will begin at 7am, and the Fun Run will begin at 8am. Participants can come dressed in the spirit of the 2027 theme, or normal race wear. The race will start at the intersection of Rose Street and Orange Avenue (plug 131 Rose Street into your navigator), and finish at the intersection of Rose Street and Summer Street.
